Shots are distillations of the most influential works ever written. They enhance the clarity and broaden the appeal of important works, without diluting their message.
As well as offering a unique opportunity to have a work published, writers will receive a payment of £300-£600 and commission on all sales. Before proposing a Shot we suggest that you read our guide to writing a Shot.

At between 10 and 15 thousand words, a Shot won't take long to read - the idea is that the original work is condensed and clarified for a broader audience.
Shots preserve the tone and feel of the original text, while being as accessible as possible.
Shots follow a similar format to the original title, such as the argument structure and chapter organisation. Some details are reorganised and some material omitted, however, to produce a Shot that reads clearly
